Yes the 405 was infamous for lots of touch bezel problems its not you!

hmmm K5 Gus apps.garmin.com playing with data fields at weekend and this might help it lets you split one line into 3 items of data the top one includes a clock you can at most get 7 items on a page but it lets me get all I want on one screen |

Done some googling and it looks like I need a dual band hrm to meet my needs. In the interest of financial expediency I've plumped for a cheap chinese knock off - a "coospo" HRM, sold by Amazon for £20, which appears to meet the brief. Whether it is any good or not remains to be seen, so if it is complete rubbish then the Wahoo TICKR looks like the branded alternative (£50-ish). If I remember I'll report back on the Coospo!
