Nice to have a ‘decent bloke’ to root for. Is it me or do the current generation seem to be a chippy bunch as a rule? Maybe it’s a LIV side-effect

I agree, generally chippy.
I played yesterday morning, and had a cracking first nine and crock of shit back nine, very frustrating.
Next weekend brings my annual 3 day tournament, i am defending champion and going for a third consecutive win(?), three in a row anyway, can’t wait.
Anybody else playing?

Played a social game yesterday and played crap. Did reasonably well last weekend and got a small handicap cut.
It's the new captain's weekend next week. An individual stableford comp on Saturday and a team event on Sunday. Nibbles and drinks on the 12th Saturday, bbq on Sunday.

Busy weekend.
Warm-up (only played to 15) on Friday night,
Saturday AM competition where I did okay (medal, 9th with a net 5-over),
Knocked out of the summer comp by my friend 2&1 Ed on Saturday afternoon (I shouldn't have played, it was too hot, was mentally & physically drained)
golf lesson on Sunday followed by a quick 9 to practice what I was told.

Blimey ginger that was a busy weekend.
I played at Downshire on Saturday, Pine Ridge the time before that, Farnham Park (South Bucks), and Bird Hills, so far this year.
We're heading into Hampshire this weekend and are playing Old Thorns on Friday, Cowdray Park on Saturday and Rowlands Castle on Sunday, if anybody has any local knowledge.

Pine Ridge and Bird Hills I know better.
