Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hopefully Lammo, although mimmbling along with the dog might not be quite the same as having a bag of clubs on my back!
I have a swing trainer club which I use most days and practice putting on the carpet.

Nick - Are you seeing benefits from the swing trainer? Do you have a way to measure clubhead speed?

I can't measure swing speed, but the added weight does ensure I get onto the front foot correctly. I sometimes try with my driver to make sure it happens with that. The bright, yellow ball on the end means I can see the swing path easier too. (Too many out to ins)!

Hopefully the work with the added weight converts to a somewhat faster baseline once you do get to hit a ball again.
I bought a launch monitor at pretty much the same time as golf got shut down again this winter, so I never go to use it yet... but it can tell me swing speed, so I've tried wafting the driver around in front of it in the garden a bit. What I think is my 'normal' golf swing is a pretty feeble 85-ish mph. If I really try to swing fast, I can get 105-ish (although I'd be fearing missing the ball altogether it's so out of control). And then you see Bryson et al giving it 130+ mph :-o

Managed to get sneaky 15 holes in yesterday afternoon.

Some good shots, most rubbish. I managed 3 pars on the front nine though.
