Greta Van Fleet last night at Alexandra Palace. I know not everyone’s cuppa tea (accusations of being a Led Zep ripoff, basically), but I like the albums. The crowd consisted of a mix of older Led Zep rockers, young whippersnappers and everything else in between. Ally Pally is quite a large venue (10400 people according to the website) and it was sold out and although the band were good the atmosphere felt quite flat for some reason, which was a shame. |

I have sometimes found the atmosphere there a bit flat. Not sure why. OH went to Crowded House at Hampton Court Palace last night. |

Glasto highlights - the first and last acts I saw on the Other Stage were my faves - Kae Tempest and Pet Shop Boys. also saw: Sleaford Mods Supergrass Idles Billy Bragg John Digweed Carl Cox & Eric Powell Chris Difford (with guest apps from Glenn Tilbrook & Michael Eavis!) Noel Gallagher Macca Cassetteboy & DJ Rubbish Glenn Tilbrook Jack White Jarv Is Plus a few unidentified DJs playing house, trance, D&B and reggae. For once, I didn't see the don, Don Letts, despite his playing three sets across the weekend. And I missed not seeing Glasto legends and all-time faves Dreadzone who were not on the bill this year. |
