I can't quite believe I am doing this but I am seriously thinking of trying to do a GFA in London 2016. I believe I am not alone in this and there are others on here thinking the same as well. However I need to work just how on earth I am going to get there lol. I know that there are a few running peeps on here alledgedly ;-) and I wonder if any of you good come up with some (sensible) plans and advice? Is it possible? Do I need to be more realistic and add an extra year on?

I think its great to have a long term plan. I really want to do GFA aswell because I really want to run the NY marathon and I think GFA might be my best shot.

So Im with you on this (batshit mental?) challenge. Lets do it :)

My GFA time was mostly due to weightloss plus mileage.

VLM's page says applications for 2013 GFA entry had to be received by July 2012 so that means we would need to run our qualifying times approximately spring 2015 giving us about 2 and a half years.
