I’ve been looking at the polls on the Strictly Spoiler website which seem to match the viewer votes and Mollie and Fleur are often towards the bottom of the table. The public just don’t seem to like them for some reason.

The young girls never get the backing. I don’t think they’re not liked but older slebs have more of ‘journey’, I guess they’re more identifiable with.

Perhaps some mums of teen daughters, or who remember their daughters as teens, will cast a vote or two the Young Girls way ... but add extreme youth to a stage school background (the invariable RINGER cry goes out) then even if - through being really, really proficient and winning every dance off - they won't win the final.
