If anyone is interested, this is a good deal for the Travelodge not too far from the start: http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_book/saver_search_book.php?hotel_id=60&saver_ts=1262304000&nights= |

According to the RAC website, it's 6.1miles UC and the race only starts at 8.30a.m., so plenty of time to get across to the start area.

8.30am is very early:) I won't have a car, will need to think about somewhere closer.

A lift would be great, I know I need to read the info sometime but how do folks get back from the finish to the start area?

I'm assuming there will be a bus of some sort? Not sure, it doesn't say on the website as far as I can see.

Or the other thing to do would be drop the car off in Henley and get back to the start by train. They are laying on a bus from the train station.

I wonder if they transport your stuff to the finish, that way you could stay near the finish and get train to start on the day.
