What are the big ++s for the VA 3 over the original VA? I still love my VA to bits, but I do like the look of the VA 3. Obviously the HR monitor is one point (though I think I might still stick with a chest strap anyway), but anything else as a "killer" feature?

Not Garmin Pay, because it doesn't work with any UK banks (yet!) HR is "all day tracking". Quite nice for seeing what your real resting HR is and if it drifts when not well or when better trained. It's got stair climbing, but I don't see that as very useful. The rest of the stuff is just the same, I think. Oh, you can lock the screen, that's good (for when flapping about with a wet sleeve and accidentally hitting lap button!) ![]() |

Yes, wet jacket adjusting all my settings has been the only real downside of the original VA for me. Easily solved by puttnig the watch on top, but I don't always remember!

It's not as slim as the original VA. I quite like the round face though. ![]() |
