Hmm, not sure I agree with all of that. It was my understanding that the difference between fast chargers and slower charges was Amps not Volts. I've had my VA for nearly 4 years, and charge it overnight to full nearly every night. So at least 1000 charge cycles. Apart from the software glitches which cause the battery to run down (or more likely, be reported as running down when it isn't really) the battery feels as robust today as it did 4 years ago. |

The old style vivoactives are turning into bargain christmas presents at the moment My kids want GPS watches, mainly because dad has one. Turns out they are going for about £20-£25 on ebay in good nick, so whilst that sort of money isn't "nothing", I'm quite happy for them to have 2nd hand running watches so that they can follow in dad's example at parkrun Beats wasting £300 on xboxes and the like!! So far I've got one, my eldest has one (though has broken it by swimming in too much saltwater I think), we've now got a spare at home, plus 2 on the way via ebay! |

I try and give my missus old tech. But she's not very good with it. I should probably donate my original VA (spare charger and cables) to someone. Ditto my old Samsung A3 phone. Worked fine until 12 months ago when I upgraded. G

Has anyone got any issue with their Garmin vivoactive (3 in my case) requiring to be setup again when they open garmin connect app? Never had the problem for about 10 months but recently most days I have to go through the which hand i wear it on etc stuff. I don't lose any data so it's not a big problem - just annoying. i seem to get logged out of garmin connect before it happens also so can't decide if its the watch or the app

Yes ditto. Not sure why, but guessing it's an app problem that only the next update will fix.

Not had that issue with my VA (first model) or a Vivosmart HR+ in our house. So looks like it is a model specific issue.
