It's not for me I'm happy with my forerunner 305, as is daughter no1 also a marathon runner.
It's daughter no 2 who's now decided that her Daddy is sensible and running is cool, and has agreed that the 'big pressie' she coulnt decide on for Xmas - so a promise- should now be a garmin.
The 305 is nice n chunky.
Daughter no 2 has tried mine & ok
But what about the 110?
Help

I was stuck between the two for myself and ended up going for a 405CX. More features than the 110, similar price. 305 was too bulky for me.

For my partners christmas she got a 110. Comparing the two I'm glad I went for the 405CX, more features, better screen, but the touch bezel can be annoying to use at times. The 110 is a much better size for smaller wrists, even passes as a watch.

I love the 110 I got for Christmas - fairly basic but does everything I need it to. Small and neat too!

For fairly basic data while running the 110 ticks the box, it`s also near-enough regular watch size too. Far more data/info available after uploading to Garmin Connect or Fetch. Some 110`s do have fogging issues...there`s a thread on here somewhere about it. I returned 2 because of this and went back to a 305. The 305 is a far more serious bit of kit, complete with heart monitor belt. The only things against it are size and it`s getting on a bit now, but still the choice of lots of runners, including me :-) If the HRM wasn`t required, also consider the 205 which is the same as the 305 minus the wireless HRM facility. The 205 and 110 are similarly priced if you shop around

Mind you...you probably know all about the 305 wrexhamrob as you own one :-) If she`s ok with the bulk of the 305/205, that`s the way I would go

I thought of replacing my 305 with a 110 at Christmas, but after starting a thread on here and finding out a bit more about it, decided to stick with the 305. I like how I can see my 'current' pace which seemingly you can't do with the 110.

If the 110 could read 'real-time' pace I'd probably have got one...

Can peeps help me too please?

I have a 305 - bought it over 5 years ago when I did distance running. I don't need all the features now, never use the HRM and have always found it a bit huge. There 's good offer for 110s at Sweatshop atm and I wonder if this model would be better for me these days. (I'm a sprinter but I do one distance run a week) Could I use it at track as a stop watch? Also I know it's pretty basic but can you do irregular time based laps on it? For example run 8 mins press lap button, walk 2 mins press lap. Obv you can on the 305. Sorry if this is a bit unclear.
