I think some of us women use a safety pin and folded it over and I am sure SarahL cut hers to fit. Not sure you can get a shorter one, but I could be wrong - I often am ;-)

OK, will have to try the safety pin method first, if not I'll just have to cut and stitch it :-o I might have to post it to SarahL and let her do it! Thanks Spally!

Any tips on using garmin for intervals/having never done any in past am wanting to start to vary my sessions. Have done some reading up on intervals and for example 800 sprint 200m jog/walk can you set it for the distance of each rep or does it have to be the time and then the time of rest period?and persume I can set it to beep whe time to jog walk or whatever. Any links to articles on intervals also useful. Thanks.

Hi Ripcurl, you can set it for time or distance for reps and rests, so it'll tell you to run for 800, then beep rest for 200 etc.

you can use TC or sporttracks to develop interval programs with reps, rest and sets of reps, download them to the garmin and then it will take you through them, measuring time/pace/effort/distance and beeping when a rep is done.

Mine lasted about 18 months.
I would try it again before replacing the battery. I've had problems like that in the past and then its been ok the next time i used it.

I think the spec says upto 2 years.
