4rw - just a thought - try doing a firmware upgrade. That resolved my old 'says so in the manual but doesn't work in practice' problem with my 205...

BM - I'll check your option first GregP - failing that, I'll try the firmware upgrade (which poses a new question ...) Thanks both, I'll report back |

If the question is "how do I upgrade the firmware", I use MotionBased, and it was almost embarrassingly straightforward.

Hi, wondered if anyone could help me. I'm trying to download a run from a Garmin 305 onto here, but it says it isn't connected. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, as I'm new to all of this. Ta

Cabbey - make sure you've got the download as it says in this thread http://www.fetcheveryone.com/viewtopic.php?id=23010 and refresh the page once you're ready to go.

last week went out for a run, took my 305 out of my bag and switched it on to the low battery mesaage, which was strange as I had charged it the day before. After a mile it died, so I suspected that I'd left it on whilst in my bag. My suspicions where proved right just now when I had an 11.30 mile run in Motionbased, which started at 8.11 pm and finished the next day at 9.43 am. But during this time my garmin was safely stored in my kitbag by the front door, so I guess my bag went for a run over night! The route preview looks a large red solid starbust, and suggest that the bag travelled up and down my road all night, and to the end of the graden and back - or perhaps I sleep walk, I always wondered why I woke with muddy feet! |

yep, that's the inaccuracies of GPS, especially indoors where it has a week signal.
