On iOS the activity page is changed a bit.
Now you can edit notes and activity name easier, but they have moved shoes so you don’t see them on the first page any more under sensors and equipment.
Also moved around some info and changed some icons.
On the diagram page in an activity, training effect got new diagrams.

Sigh
I updated the Android app yesterday. This morning, I noticed that the visibility of my activities on GC had changed from 'My connections and groups' to 'Everyone' ; so I've changed it back, and done the same for past activities (again).

The changes on the app mean that when you add an event it is automatically set as priority important now if you haven't added any other upcoming events. You then get the option to set the priority for other events subsequently added.

Not a great fan of that but it matches how the website works.

Also it has sprints as normal before my event on Tuesday but has threshold before Friday even though that's the primary event 😱. That won't be happening, lol.

I tóok my Garmin for a couple of sea swims. Results were disappointing. On the the first, gps indicated where i started, but nothing more. On the second, it recorded something for the first part, possibly correct for location, but not distance; and nothing for the second part. I have seen mentions that it needs to be not on your arm to work. (Also, if there's an open water swim option on the FR 245, I couldn't find it.)

Ref an earlier point: I found that it's possible to turn off the hrv monitoring. I suspect that it, and body battery are, if not 100% accurate, at least broadly indicative. Bi also suspect i might be better seeing neither of them.

When I was looking for a new watch earlier this year I read that you can get a widget for the 245 to add an open water swim option. I ended up getting a replacement 735xt direct from Garmin which was a lot cheaper. The open water functionality on the 735 works fine with front crawl but it not able to record breaststroke (as the wrist doesn't leave the water enough). As a poor swimmer I sometimes to do some breaststroke to rest on longer swims and I just lift my hand out of the water every so often to try and get a reading.
