Rosehip I don't have an iDevice - but I've just checked, and the web version works on both my Android phone and Android tablet (although both ask me if I want to open the app before letting me through to the web version)

Thanks, AndyS
I’ve tried requesting desktop site before logging in etc etc.
I’m going to delete the app - I don’t use it on the tablet, only my phone, and see what happens

Should have tried that earlier - logged me straight into the website!

I noticed the same earlier this week Rosehip, although in the end I just used the App. But I think i'll do the same, and delete the App from my iPad.

Don't understand the black magic that is iOs but with an Android tablet, going into settings>Apps>Connect and clearing the defaults would do it.

Private browsing will do it, or (more generally, this won't help with Connect where there is a sign in button) if you long-press a link and choose open in new tab it will bypass the connection to an app.

My trusty old forerunner 230 has just died after 8 years of faithful service. Terminally and forever. I have knackered the contacts behind the stop/go button with accumulated crud I think

What would you recommend to replace it with? And if I end up having to get one with HRM can I make the data totally invisible as I don't want to know HR stats pretty much ever.

You can just disable the wrist HRM to "off" on Garmins if you don't want to see it or record it. But if HRM is on when you're running, the data is there and I don't think there is an obvious way to "hide" it. Maybe on the new gen of watches you can disable HRM for specific activities, don't think that's do-able on mine.

FR255/265 or 955/965 would be the go-to options at the moment I suspect.
