Reading your post again, the difference between the two distances is almost entirely in the first lap, which suggests it's an error on your watch. Presumably the lap should be 4.37 officially (3 laps would then be 13.11) but as it's trail that might not be accurately measured. |

It was lap 1 that was low and last week we were in woods. I would have thought as Badger said my watch should be more accurate. Iβll do some testing with friend!

The mapping trace is disabled for that link unfortunately so non-buddies (or whatever is the right term!) can't see it to compare.

What I'm saying is your watch matched your friend's for 2 out of the 3 laps today unless I'm missing something which suggests your watch had an issue for a short period at some point. I'd have said it was a glitch if you weren't saying it happens regularly

I spent half an hour today searching the internet for ways to troubleshoot a Garmin footpod that didn't work after I changed the battery. After removing and re-inserting 2 different fresh batteries, I found out that the Duracell button batteries now have a sticker on the underside telling you not to swallow them. I'd like to force-feed one of them to the person who made the decision to put that sticker on the underside. π

Not entirely sure this belongs here, but have developed a cold sore and the only source I can think of is that I started licking my heart rate monitor again a few weeks ago. So there is that.

A little info is a dangerous thing! Garmin only ever displays VO2Max as a whole integer, so if your VO2Max increases from 54.6 to 55.4 it will just report 55. But because I use runalyze I can see the 2 decimal places and I'd seen a nice trend over the last couple of weeks of small improvements; right up to last night where it fell by over 0.5!! So I'm grumpy about it, despite the fact that it is probably just a function of when I ate, what the weather was like and the route choice I made. Fortunately though I didn't lick my HRM so I don't have any cold sores

On the 255, there is a graph that shows the incremental increases/ decreases over the four week period. The graph on the app still doesn't do that. |
