That’s roughly where mines been so far.

I’ll have a play round next week as it’s a planned easy week, so will see what feels best, and if data is consistent when moved.

Has anyone bought anything online from polar ?

I need a new hr strap as the old one broke. They seem to add and £8.60 delivery charge regardless and I am not keen to pay that on something costing me £23.

You can't get it somewhere else with free delivery? Seems expensive though.

It’s just the strap not the bit that clips in. Need to see if other places do just accessories.

I've bought polar straps elsewhere before.

Grade adjusted pace is available on the 255 now. Could be useful for any point you want to run variable terrain at a consistent 'pace'

Hill sprints (15 secs) today and disappointed to see gap didn't work properly. Watch didn't detect ascent quickly enough. Kind of not surprised though as I was able to see it wasn't an immediate pickup on the long run beforehand.

Unless on roads I find GAP pretty useless, as often the terrain is as much a dictator of pace as the grade.

I'm using it on road, but in any case I'd have thought you could compare if the terrain is constant or at least compare the bits that are the same.

Are all the health, sleep, fitness, etc metrics about someone worked out at device level, or at the person level ?

ie If you had two GPS watches linked to your account, sometimes you wear one, sometimes the other, would you have different VO2 max figures, different sleep averages, different race readiness status, etc, etc, or does each device send data back to the Garmin servers and it's combined there at a person level ?

A similar, and perhaps more common situation, would be a Garmin forerunner watch used for running, and a Edge bicycle unit - would both sets of data contribute to one overall set of fitness scores, or two separate sets ?
