Edit: *wear, *21:10 to 21:52 Wow, super low, Rosehip. Elite athlete levels. (According to some online sources, mind, we should nearly all be referring ourselves for medical investigation .) I'd always take a daytime rhr level, though actually it's pretty rare for my readings whilst asleep to be lower than my lowest waking (typically late evening) levels. (Generally 4-6 BPM higher.) |

My Garmin Forerunner 245 is wanting to install 24 (Twenty four!!) different language versions (none of them English). all Versions 4.00, sizes varying from 110 to 115kb. Anyone know what this is about? There appears to be no way to say "no, I don't want these" or to delete them, so presumably Garmin feels that they are "essential". There is also a Device Software V11.10 size 5.11MB. |

Dvorak - naturally low, bp is too - always has been My lowest rhr is always just before / after I wake up. Evening on the sofa is 4-8bpm higher, probably something to do with blood levels in my caffeine stream. |

There is also a Device Software V11.10 size 5.11MB. And that's why you have the new language files. All the language files are translations of the new software text into other languages. Just let them install, they'll replace existing texts and won't take up any extra space on the watch. |

Dv, the FR35 is 'End of Life' for software updates and Garmin are only support *45 and *55 variants now. They will not update the algorithms on older watches. I suspect the RHR algorithm on the 45/55 is more sophisticated and maybe more accurate- they keep evolving. I know that is not what you’d like to hear, but if you email Garmin I suspect you won't get very far. Sorry.

Actually, (to my surprise) my watch showed a software update two days ago. No indication it was going to happen.

But the issue is not so much what the watch says, it's what Garmin Connect says.

Garmin Connect is just an extended display for the watch. Different watches supply the data into GCM in different ways. You will get more accurate data suppled by newer watches. The FR35 updates are listed here: www8.garmin.com Looks like 3.20 was the last update with features added. |

I think Dvorak's question is why the algorithm calculated RHR is significantly higher than what the data shows for actual HR given the length of time HR was lower than the calculation.
