What watch do you have? Are you wearing it overnight?

Dvorak Me too, sine a few betas back i have several beats higher than normal. i fluctuates now and then for sure, but i have definitely noticed this. So i wonder, is it more correct now or before. |

It's definitely not my usual idea of RHR (i.e. the lowest instant reading I observe) but it does seem to track quite reliably reflecting my stress, relaxation, health and fitness levels. E.g. recently on holiday it came down 2-3 beats and now I'm back at work it's on the way up again!

To be fair, some of the sites that suggest you get your RHR in order to know HRR recommend taking the average over a few days, but that detail often gets left out.

Yes, I've given that some thought especially as I set my zones based on a lower RHR than Garmin would determine. I'd be adding about 4-5 BPM to my zones. I'll resist that as I'm always tempted to run to the top end of zones.

Anyone used third party charging cables? Need a new one for my 245 as my current on is a bit flakey now. Garmin ones are very expensive!

Pretty much anyone on amazone or eBay or whatever works fine, just look at the reviews and choose one that has some.

My Garmin is a humble Forerunner 35, and I want it nearly all the time, so yes, worn overnight. And I think the readings are accurate, both at rest and during excercise (with the odd blip). Here's my HR graph from Thursday: the highlighted point was when I was sitting watching the athletics (and not apparently overexcited ). In the period 20:10 to 21:52, my heart rate stayed consistent at 50 BPM. In the longer period 21:08 to 22:38, it never rose above 54. So by Garmin's metric, my daily rhr should have been 50, but it was reported as 60. So, hmm, what's going on? Maybe I should email Garmin support and ask. |

Mine woke me up with low hr alarm this morning. Itβs set to 40 and apparently I went to 38. My reported resting hr has been between 38 and 41 for the last week, so nothing has changed (F7) for me through the last betas. (My fitbit used to take resting hr as an average during waking times and was ~52, never know which to use for hr zones) |
