Pammie - To change the HR settings in SportTracks click on Select View > Categories. Then select Heart Rate Zones. Here you should be able to amend the zones, create additional sets etc.

When I download my data to SportTracks it records a temperature on there. I record that temperature in a 'bespoke field' in Fetch

Bob!, mine doesn't seem to. Where does it record it? There is a weather setting, but I thought that wasn't actually recorded, just noted based on your location.

Maybe Pammie's is the answer...

Just tried "press enter while turning on" thing on my 201 - it also has the temperature. Looks like it has been a feature of Garmins for a while. Wonder why they didn't do something more with it.

MotionBased also links to the weather reported by the closed weather station, but it is just a general indication not the specific conditions that you ran in.

First-time poster!!
Great thread guys! Just got a brand new 305. I don't know whether this question has been answered already, but there is alot of threads to read and it's not in the guide thingy.

I have set my Forerunner to autolap, and the first time I went out it was fine. This first run was a tempo run which I uploaded from the computer. On the last two runs however have not lapped anything. They were both 'quick runs' ie, 4 miles in x amount of time. I even pressed lap a couple of times and nothing happened.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Autolap doesn't work on workouts; the idea with workouts is that you subdivide them into sections (eg warm up for half a mile, run till your eyeballs pop out, cool down for half a mile) either by time or by distance, and the times taken for each section will be the times recorded as laps in the memory.
I guess if you want the individual mile times you'd need to set this up in an advanced workout, or just read the data into Sporttracks and get it to work out the splits for you

be careful pressing lap in workouts though. depending on the settings for the workout, it can move you on to the next phase of the workout.
