Message comes late evening, about 9pm, irrespective of if I did run in morning, afternoon, or had a proper rest day.

Not an issue, just a bit surprised that it's started showing up a lot recently when I never ever used to hardly see it.

I just ignore it, it doesn't impact my plan for next day in any way.

Presumably you have a few chilled hours leading up to it? Hence why it happens at the same time most days.

It generally doesn't make a drastic difference to recovery, I'd probably pay more attention in the opposite direction.

From what I've seen on mine, it's a reflection of your non-activity time.

I only get the message about having had a good sleep my recovery has been speeded up! Being a streaker I have to ignore recovery advisor anyway!

Recovery adviser is about hard sessions not easy runs.

Is there any definitive source that I can use to dispel the myths going around particularly on reddit that the current (actually happening) magnetic space storm is affecting worldwide gps signals, particularly for runners ;-)

I shouldn't care, and it's probably the absence of anything from the NASA, whoever runs Gallileo, Glonass etc which tells the story. But it's developing into a urban myth that whatever is happening with *some people's* GPS traces is entirely down to sun spots / magentic issues.

If you want conspiracy theories...

Check that you aren't using GLONAS. As it's the Russian GPS network and used by their military and weapons systems it's being repeatedly targeted by Western military cyber-warfare teams so it gives incorrect information.

Which is far more believable than a magnetic space storm causing the problem!

Yep, I've seen that too ("Switch off Glonass and switch back to Galileo, didn't you know there's a war going on"). Actually, I would find that more credible to a degree!

My household GNSS expert (he now has a First in such subjects and is currently doing a masters, and thence a PhD) says the magnetic storm stuff is nonsense (mostly) so I'm trusting him and the university education system :-)
