Yes, ultratrac drops the GPS lock then reacquires. I think suunto have a mode where it locks continuously but only computes position every 5 seconds, which saves not all that much power because keeping the satellite locks is a large chunk of it.


Ultratrac is completely useless if you are using navigation... constantly telling you that you are off course.

Very nice GG!

I have a Fenix 6x Pro, and I use a HR strap as I train to HR. The other day I just did a 5-mile recovery run but forgot the HR strap and so the HR came from the wrist sensor. I was wondering if there is any way in Garmin Connect (or elsewhere) to distinguish activities that are using the HR strap from those that are using the wrist sensor?

It’s the fenix 7s sapphire solar [USER 105817 my wrist is 6.25” it looks a bit chunky but does t feel it and it’s not heavy. Same size as my 6s and a lot smaller & lighter than my previous 3
