Night orienteering is particularly good for teaching relocation! Especially in the "heat" of the competition in an event.

Thanks. I used to do a few, and I keep meaning to do some of the local ones, but there never seems to be enough time in the days. I need to get organised!

Hi. I recently bought a Garmin HRM-Dual and managed to pair it ok with my Garmin watch. However, I can't see anyway of seeing recorded data on Garmin connect, (or anywhere else), only real-time data while I'm using it. I've had a look online and can't find anything that helps. Thanks.

I think that you’re meant to have the watch running during the session, but not with you, and then the hrm uploads to the watch when you stop the watch then the watch syncs to Connect. But don’t have one so this could be terrible advice!

No, sorry, that’s the swim, tri and pro that do that, the dual can’t store and forward, only feed live data. Am I completely misunderstanding what you’re asking?

No, I think you have got it right. Not much use to me only having live data. Thanks for quick response. :)

If the watch is receiving HR data during an activity it will (if working properly) include it in the data uploaded to the Connect App.

What’s your use case Gene? Let us know and we can see if we can think of a solution.

I don't think any of the add on straps etc can add "lifestyle" HR data to a garmi watch which doesn't already do it. Happy to be proven wrong.

CW - apparently Garmin HRM-Dual doesn't connect directly to Garmin's own Garmin Connect, but apparently you can daisy-chain HRM-Dual to another supported device and then the device to the app. No idea what 'other supported device' might be or how that might be done.
