Bad timing for me, my bank recently announced they were going to switch all their credit cards from Mastercard to Visa

I'm a bubblehead. My bank is in fact changing all its debit cards from Visa to Mastercard. I may have problems with that but Amazon won't be one of them. (I take a bit more care of what money is where and how fast it goes out than you might think from my attention to detail here)

Another +1 for Curve/Garmin Pay.

It's really handy when you were feeling virtuous and decided to leave the cash at home, but then decide you actually do need that post-run pint* and chips or your recovery will be impaired.

On a similar note, has anyone found a way to put multiple cards onto Garmin Pay (ideally two linked to the same Curve account).

Something that would be really handy (to avoid the NE-type issue above!), but I've never got around to looking into it.

You can put multiple cards on Garmin Pay. I had my Curve and Starling cards set up. But surely the idea of Curve is that you put their, single, card on Garmin Pay, then the multiple cards are setup within Curve?

Bargain Instinct here: garmin.com Solar model for £96

Although it seems, from this thread twitter.com that some people received their items at the bargain price ...

quimby, yes, that's the idea of Curve, and when you have a phone handy to select which card you want to debit it (probably, never tried, I've already got Apple Pay for that) works well. I can't think of a way to do that on the watch, so multiple cards seems the only way to go. And then you're back to the old problem of UK banks largely not supporting Garmin Pay.

Wasn't a huge hassle to me to open a new Santander account. I only have 3 other accounts, and a couple of credit cards so not too bad!

I did feed in to Bank of Scotland, my "main" bank that I was doing hundreds of contactless transactions a year with Santander, just because they didn't support Garmin Pay, but heard nothing back from them! Big hairy surprise! :-) G

I was lucky as I use Santander anyway, and I use Garmin Pay a surprising amount. I wasn't expecting this, but I use it more than paying on my phone for some reason, for things like coffee, takeaways etc. Strangely (and I do not know why this is!), I still use a card when doing shopping in a supermarket or buying fuel, even if the amount is below the contactless limit. It is not that I am adverse to using my phone or watch to pay for stuff, because I am not. Odd behaviour, I agree!

mmm yes, this is a good point. I don't carry my primary phone with me when running and thus in theory my Curve account is set to a default (joint) credit card. If this becomes possible I'd like to do it, but having checked Connect this morning it doesn't seem to accommodate more than one payment vehicle

Just in case anyone is wondering, I do carry another phone with me in the hills, I just look stupid :-)

Can't you retrospectively change cards a good while after the transaction via Curve? I thought that was one of its features (admittedly I've not used it and I don't know how that works if your default card is a bank debit card).
