Dowe need to reset our Garmins if we go abroad? I'm off to Dubai at the end of March and it's bang in the middle of my marathon schedule.

Nope, Steve, it should work fine. I've used mine all over Europe and in the US with no adjustment. Might take a longer time to find the satellites first time out though....

At least in Dubai there should be no problem with tree or cloud cover ruining the signal :-)

They travel fine. Although i tend to reset the time zone so the times logged on the run reflect the right time of day. But then again I'm anal about my stats!

Just remember to take some way of charging it, unlike me first time abroad with it!

Flanks, I think there is a way to set the time automatically - in fact there must be cos mine did it in the US last year (checking back).

actually, thinking about it, the time comes from the GPS signal. It's inherent in how it works out position iirc. So I wonder why it lets you set a time zone? Unless it uses it for things like season changes...

hmmm
