On modern Garmin you do this by pressing and holding light until the screen goes off and you don't lose any data from the watch but you might want to do a bit of google-foo to check that for the 910xt

Badger Jan 2021 4:36pm, 14 Jan 2021 13,388 posts	Badger I was thinking, surely the 910 didn't have optical that long ago! Other than that, agree with CW - also check that the OHR lights are coming on and look at the HR graph to see if the watch logged HR at all during the run.

um Jan 2021 5:09pm, 14 Jan 2021 4,070 posts	um My 735 sometimes does that - either restart (reset) and/or check tightness on the wrist. It might be the cold weather makes the fit a bit looser? Does seem that once it sets itself to no show (or is it a steady 101 ish HR?) it stays that way until reset.

Or have you contacted Garmin UK as a developer and asked if they provide any such support? Their UK base is relatively near me, and they always seem open, amenable and chatty and keen to help with product support.
