It occurred to me to check my training benchmarks on here because of the Garmin problem and indeed I supposedly ran my fastest ever 400m yesterday. Thankfully there’s an option to remove dodgy results from that page.

This afternoon’s run was where it should have been.

handy for the WSW'ers that it fixed itself by end of the week. Wonder how many got extra squares :-)

Question re setting intervals up in Garmin Connect. I'm doing a run/walk program which has fairly complicated intervals so not just a case of using the watch alerts. Does it matter whether I set the walk bit to recover or rest - in terms of measuring distance? I think that it will measure distance in Recover sections but not sure whether it thinks Rest is total rest as in no movement.

And yes, I could just do them all to Recover but I was on autopilot and used Rest instead so now wondering whether I need to edit them all.

Checking my interval workouts, I've used 'rest' but it still records the distance. I don't think it matters TBH.

(I seem to have used Recover in some, Rest in others. Seems like I never noticed the difference!)

yep, I concur, either should work fine. The only difference will be the text displayed on the watch face which should would help you remember if its static rest or a walk/jog recovery.

I just got a FR245 to replace my 620 which was dying. First impression: the rubber wrist strap seems really cheap & nasty compared to the 620 (and the 610 I had before that).

Has anyone changed a 245 strap for something better?

What Oranj and CW said. It's about the text that's displayed.

Not changed the strap on my 245. I think it's elasticated to help the HRM work better.
