It might not have been the same issue though.

In fact it seems unlikely as all indications are this is linked to the new year.

Seems a bit coincidental that exactly what has been described happened with my Fenix, even if it was on a different day that it should have been

No other reports before 1 Jan would suggest it is coincidental and was an individual issue with your watch, especially as it just happened for one activity from what you've said.

Mine happened on 1 and 2 Jan, I just didn't notice it on 1 Jan. The shape is exactly the same as if it was in the right place so nothing looks untoward unless you look closely.

Was OK for me Elsie.

Meanwhile, I found this classic from a neighbour Fetchie (my FR935 has behaved itself) where they ran around the park, but the trace was displaced 250m to the west.

and I see Roberton has uploaded similar fetcheveryone.com/gallery-showphoto.php?id=135692

DC rainmaker has tweeted twitter.com that a fix has been sent out today with the latest re-sync to update to the new CPE.

This mornings checking route to work icyness was fine albeit took ages to lock on.

Walk to shop just now was somewhat werid though, was fine going there then i guess cos i was indoors for some time it had to properly hunt the sats again on the walk back and maybe the update had done something as that one is well weird basically jumping most of the way home before it got a lock.

I could have guessed it would be discussed on the Garmin thread, but I did find that DC Rainmaker has posted about it.

My screenshot was for a short blog post: fetcheveryone.com/blog/24788/2021/1#blog414325
