...what’s transmitted from the satellites. Garmin have changed the post so it no longer suggests that will make the CPE appear current: UPDATED 1/2/2021: Please be aware that we are aware of the serious GPS issue that 2021 has brought upon the Fenix 6 series watches and we are investigating reports. The issue seems to be impacting not only Garmin but some of our competitors too. On your watch, if you go to System > About and CPE shows Expired, please give 5 full minutes outdoors with no movement before every Outdoor activity. This is a workaround while our engineers get the issue resolved. We hope to have this issue resolved as quickly as possible and this issue is our #1 highest priority. |

DC Rainmaker suspects it's because 2020 had 53 weeks instead of 52. Kinda unusual problem! dcrainmaker.com |

I tested out the workaround of leaving it locked for a few minutes before starting the activity and the trace looked right that time. CPE stayed as expired - as expected from Badger’s post above.

I just wandered in here, and had a lightbulb moment My new Fenix 6s did a walkabout off route last week and I couldn't understand why, now I know! |
