Mine synced, just needs a little patience and/ or opening the app every so often to start a sync request. I've had the notice about maintenance all day but there is a second message now saying Connect recovery is on the way and asking (well thanking us) for our understanding and patience. |

Hmm. Run tonight synced, still no HR data. Fitbit too, but phone was also paired with aftershokz to didn't get GPS. First World problems!

This report says Garmin says it was ransomeware. Not comment on whether they paid or not. An instantaneous restore might indicate payment. Gradual restoration looks like the data wasn't unlocked with a key. mashable.com |

I doubt it HoD ... if you do it once, what stops it happening again next week? The same group, or someone else? More likely it was found & everything isolated / turned off - which was why everything was down. And only released once known to be cleansed. But why Garmin, not someone else? Probably because there was a gap somewhere in their protection, or old/unmaintained network access somewhere? |
