Sigh
A bit geeky, but I quite enjoyed this video tour of the Garmin facility in Canada:

Anyone else finding elevation gains a bit unusual lately? I know that I live in a fairly “undulating” area but I getting more elevation gained and lost than I expect from previous similar runs. I’ve tried vacuuming out the sensor port but no change. Garmin 935.

Sigh
@bja, my elevation gains are behaving (Garmin 245). However; as I've had to share my Garmin run data externally today I've clicked on it a few times more than normal, and occasionally GC has not shown the route properly, instead it's shown a straight line. A refresh screen has fixed this each time, but maybe your issue is something similar on the Connect site?

Sigh, 245 doesn’t have a pressure sensor in and so uses elevation correction. The 935 has a sensor so it’s different.

Biz I just checked my 945 and it’s reading right for me. You could try a hard reset (which will leave you data intact) so see if that helps. Press and hold the light button until the screen fades then press it again to get the watch to boot.

Thanks ChinkyWizard - I’ve done that, I’ll see if I get more credible data tomorrow.

Or it could just be the effects of the weather - changing weather and winds can throw the altimeter out quite a bit.
