Sorry, that should mean *I* don't use VP, etc... It's not intended as an instruction to anyone else :-o. I'm not *that* assertive.

Lol, I knew what you meant, cheers!

Any advice on how to add a route to the training centre e.g, where/how to create and then how to import?

Interesting... I've owned a Garmin 305 since sometime in May 2008. I'm still at the stage of placing it on my living room window ledge til the numbers come on the screen then going outside pressing start... running a bit ... then pressing stop.

Perhaps I ought to find out the other things it does some time. ;)

Lol Ness, I'm dying to get out there and use it but being very unlike me and using restraint until I'm sure my legs are on the mend! :( lol

Hope the legs are 'on the mend' soon.

I've never used the quick workouts but do use TC to set up interval sessions when I want to hurt myself.

I like bikeroutetoaster.com for designing routes - use the os mapping, on foot, with the cycle map displayed. I think it will send the route directly to your 305 if you have it plugged into the usb (but I use a 310 which is a bit different). I save the routes on the brt site rather than managing them on my PC (which would involve using training center, which I don't really use for anything but making interval sessions).

I don't use TC at all either, or any "pre-planning" of routes or intervals sessions... I'm just a kind of run-and-analyse-afterwards kind of runner, I think.

Same here, mostly, but I tend to plan the long runs training for marathons, mainly so that when I have three miles to go to the end of the planned distance, those three miles are the shortest way home :)

The mapping on bikeroutetoaster has helped me find some peaceful back roads and cycle paths; much less car/bike/pedestrian dodging these days!

i tend to use a combination of GPSsies.com and ST. I never go near TC as it's a hideous piece of software
