I think what happens is that whilst charging it turns itself on without telling u and then the battery runs dry

I got rid of it by getting in to the habit of moistening the strap (just give it a good old lick), and making sure it's at the right tightness (I have a couple of safety pins now to prevent the sliding thing slackening off inadvertently).

I noticed that some of the spikes occurred when the strap slipped, so I wasn't too worried about those but I will try licking the the back of it now. Does anybody know how long the battery lasts in the heart rate strap? Once again, thanks for putting my mind at ease.
paul the builder Apr 2010 10:05pm, 18 Apr 2010 1,661 posts	paul the builder I can only tell you how long my first one lasted - about a year (of reasonably heavy use - say 5 days per week average, and perhaps about 2000 miles). I'm currently on second battery now.
