It's just the way it flashes that's annoying. They colour and the ads themselves are fine.

In Opera, pressing + twice removes the pink altogether.

This thread has made me a bit sad.

The pink background should only be appearing against the 'default' skin, but due to a mistake by the people who control the adverts (which I have reported) it's being applied to all of them. I hope they will fix that soon, but it's the only area of the site that I don't have direct control over.

Meanwhile, please remember that this free site exists thanks only to the money we raise from our advertisers.

Oh, don't be sad, Fetch.

*does a dance*

*makes a cuppa*

*sits at Fetch's feet* tell us the story about the graphs again, please. The one where you have lots of colours and they bring in several data fields and all that technology stuff that's very clever. I like those stories.

Oh dear - sorry to make you sad Mr. Fetch, but I really didn't like it.

It's gone now though :-)

...and I don't really mind ads, just not really horrible ones. And I think the advertisers need to know if their adverts are actually putting people off their products.
