Hi there folk fae the broch. Is this a flat, road (i.e. PB-able) half? It says height change is 79 metres, which sounds like a lot, but then thought about it and over 13.1 miles it's not that much. Anyone? Class? Bueller? Thanks. :-)G

Good evening Mr G. I've not done this, however I have supported and can sassure you that it is indeed flat, flat flat. Out & back (ish), with a wee roon the hooses on the way out but not on the way back. All in all a very pb type course.

Supposed to be very flat. Route and profile are available: goodrunguide.co.uk
(To view the profile, check 'Show Hill Profile' on the right)

Looks to be about 25m between the lowest and highest point on the route, perhaps some small gentle short hills, but next to nothing really. :)

Sorry HappyG(rrr), Torry Quine did mention you'd set up a thread for this the other night and I forgot to look for it! Many apologies.

This is DEFINITELY a PB half! I've done it for the last two years and PBd both times. It is very flat, mostly on road but with a wee bit of off road, nothing tricky. A great feed afterwards and a real Fetch fest too. Loads of Stoney folk will be there as it is our last club championship race.

Are you coming then? :-)

Old Croc you come too! I will be going again and attempting sub 1:40 *gulp*

Hope to see you there

not sure am in PB form at the minute - except when I fill in an entry form PB always goes on as that's my first two initials.

Sub 1:40 is my next BIG target - don't know where, don't know when but I know I'll beat that time some sunny day!

How cool that is your initials! I like to think my initials are Very Special (gettit?!)

I don't know if I'm on PB form for a half either, but I'm going to give it a go. I only try once a year at Fraserburgh for a PB. I did Inverness but only to pace a friend to a sub 2 so it'll be nice to race it! I love the distance. You'll do it OC :-) :-)
