Servere stomach issues halted what would have been a rather pleasant long run today. I still have seven miles to do. My question is, would I benefit doing the rest of the run today? I was planning on a sedate off road recovery run in the morning as I'm checking part of the course for our race. |

It won't be as beneficial as doing the whole distance in one go, but it will be more beneficial than not doing the extra 7 miles at all ![]() |

I'm in the other camp on this: if you got at all dehydrated, you're not going to improve things by going out again. The quality of your training to date strongly suggests you could can the '7' today. ![]() |

I'm with Swittle on this. Rest up, rehydrate and try something gentle next time out. |

Doing the extra 7 miles at an really easy pace will certainly be beneficial. i ran all my best races when I was putting in a second easy run of that kind of length |

It's all academic now as my stomach issues don't appear to have resolved. In fact, it's worse ![]() Thanks for the advices anyway. X |
