flying ant watch: have you got flying ants?

Got a face full of em on the cycle ride home this evening (NW Kent). Lots of soldier (?, the non-flying ones) ants on the march in my garden, while the flyers are taxiing along the runway, checking that the seats are upright, bags aren't blocking the exits and that the doors are set to manual.

Must be that time of year when the weather gets hot and muggy. Hate flying ants. GRRRRRRR.
