I just tried mine. I like the texture but they seem to be lacking in a bit of taste. Needs cherry or peanut butter thrown in or maybe some cinnamon.

Jacdaw - you asked about savoury ones. I once made some cheese and onion ones, the recipe of which I got off the oats bag. As usual I didn't like them, but I took them into work and was amazed at how quickly they disappeared. There are probably plenty of recipes on the 'net and they'd be good for work lunch boxes. I just remembered that I did once have a small piece of 3-seed flapjack made by a bloke who came to a festival with a group of my friends years ago. Although I haven't got a sweet tooth and don't like dry, chewy things; I had to admit that these were the best ones I'd tried. There was a bit of an added bonus to these flapjacks ... |

I just made the cheese flapjacks; the mumsnet recipe. Nice, but a bit odd. Sort of like an oaty cheese scone. They might be better with a stronger cheese than the one I used. But a good texture for eating while running, and carrying in a rucksack for 50 miles. |

Fairy cake cases? Nah. Surely the definition of a flapjack includes corners of some variety.
