This is a recipe I use when we have a banana (s) that has gone beyond the point where anyone will eat it... not quite as nice as Jamie Ollivers apricot and sunflower seed recipe but fairly moist and the kids still eat it
200g butter
160g soft brown sugar

3 1/2 tablespoons golden syrup (approx 85g)
450g rolled oats

1 banana

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.Put the butter, brown sugar and syrup into a saucepan. Melt together on a medium heat. Then slice the banana and add
2.Add the oats and make sure that they are all covered by the mixture.

3.When all is done, grease a shallow baking tin, then tip in the mixture.
4.Bake in a 180 C / Gas 4 oven for 25 minutes, or until the top is brown. Don't over-bake.
5.After 25 minutes, take the flapjack out of the oven and cut into squares, large or small

I've become really addicted to flapjack recently. Really easy recipe for those like me who don't keep many posh ingredients in:

250g porridge oats, 125g butter, 125g brown sugar, 3 tablespoons golden syrup.

Mix it all together, 20 mins at 180 (depending how well you like it cooked) - job's a goodun.

I usually chuck in some raisins and cinnamon for a bit of added texture and flavour. Going to try coconut though, that sounds good! Really interested in the sound of cheese jacks too :)

Graze anything is a more money than sense comestible.

My flapjacks are the best in the world, or at least the best in the world outside Fetch. I'm not posting the recipe because there isn't one, each batch is unique.

The value add with Graze, my dear V'rap, as I'm sure you well know once you take your tongue out of your finely chiselled cheek, is portion control.

I have eaten three flapjacks today. I feel dirty. There is a very good reason why I never post in the "I will not over-eat today" thread.

I *bought* a Cliffbar lunchtime because they were in Boots at the same time as me. Saving it for weekend ride.

I like the Peanut Crunch bar. Thinking of it I could have added peanut butter to my attempt.

I feel like we need a flapjack-off to get a definitive 'best flapjack in the world' - but I am a bit scared of challenging Vrap :)
