Seems odd that a race wouldn't put more thought into the accuracy of and recording of finish times.

I totally agree Paul. Had they made it clear when I entered that this was their approach, I would have done Norman's Forest of Dean Marathon instead...

Times are up on the website now, but it's still the first (wrong) version. :-(

Bit annoyed now as I'm sure many people have been in touch with their correct time.

Ok - a small hickup. Put in the complaints and they will get it right next year if they are not too deflated by the complaints.

Me and Landy got an excellent time - am gonna keep quiet ;-)

RF - sorry, but I have to disagree. To run a "race" and then fail to record finishing times is a very serious issue. To then, two weeks later, not to have published any amendments just gives the impression of a lack of concern by the organisers.

My post-race impression of their race is one of deflation!

Time to move on I guess, but I just can't see what was so difficult about recording times for this. Hardly a large field, a timing clock, volunteers to record numbers and times......what could be simpler. It is also annoying that corrections have not been addressed.

TZ - I agree with you but it took over a week to get the first draft results sorted. The second week has been folks emailing the organisers about the results to get the right results.

Bank holiday and it is most likely their (organisers) families and work have reeled the guys back in, as well perhaps allowing a time frame to allow any last minute persons to send their updated times. Think if we are patient enough the new results will be posted as these are guys are runners and will understand the importance of a finishing time in their event.
