Thanks for this info, Ogee. I'm coming from South Croydon so it's roughly the same journey as yourself. I presume they make this clear in the VLM magazine nearer the time - don't want to get into trouble with any ticket inspectors!

Don't try walking anywhere from VLM finish area, except to the tube station. We tried to cross the course and it was so rammed with spectators that we had to wait about 20 mins to cross at a couple of points. Took 1 hour to walk about a mile to a hotel. Not what you want on tired legs! :-)G
