I do very much like the idea of what was planned, but somehow I had decided that it wasn't for me. I can't quite say why but the coinage wasn't the killer factor - at the end of the day, if it's going to be a special thing then it'd be worth it. But perhaps I'm completely contradicting myself when I say that a "£20 half marathon, followed by a free-for-all at a nearby venue" type thing would be up my street.

Oh :-(

I must admit though that the price tag was causing problems over here too. Lovely idea to pick a race which we could all descend on near some accommodation though - maybe we could do that and then have a natter afterwards about we could do to fix up Fetchstock?

As for running to and from pubs, it works for us hashers ;-)

:( that it didn't work out but was a bit unsure about whether to go or not because its a lot of time and money to spend a whole weekend with a lot of people I've only met on line up to now.

A Fetch half with social after would still be good.

18th & 19th September, Loughborough.

Here's the detail so far: http://www.fetcheveryone.com/fetchstock.php

In summary:

Running (a race, proper course and all that), a bit of running-related stuff like maybe lectures, coaching sessions, physios, a nice dinner, a shedload of isotonic shandy and maybe a dance off and a bit of bare knuckle boxing, bedtime, then some gentler running-based activities the following morning, then maybe lunch.

If you're up for it, join the group below for an fmail update when we have more details.
