Mrs B. If you run through a relay marker you move it in the direction it is designed for. N, S, E, W, NE etc. You get points based on the distance you move it. I think that 5 miles is the furthest you can move it in any 1 outing before 'dropping' it.

Didn't think there was a limit Ted
According to the Game guide in the link above copy and pastee
Relays These move in one of eight different compass directions. Runners who carry them collect credits at a rate of 25 per mile travelled in the correct direction (the owner of the marker also collects 25 credits per mile). It doesn't matter which way you run onto the marker - for example, if you run from Edinburgh to London in one go, and when you get there, you hit a northbound relay marker, the marker is transported to Edinburgh, to the northmost point of your run. When you buy one, you can choose its direction

Agreed, I think I've moved some of them further than 5 miles on a couple of occasions.

No, there's no limit. I was actually thinking of making them a bit rarer, worth more, and permanent, rather than resetting each month. Then we could see how far they'd be capable of travelling.

I think that's a good idea. Unlike coins, bugs and flowers they don't seem to play too much of a role in the game at the moment.

That would be fun. How about also having them keep a list of the people who had moved them?

Right then - I've made a simple change to get that started (Drell, I like your suggestion, but that will take a bit more work than I've got time for just now) - there'll be no more sprinkling of relay markers - whatever is there at the moment will just have to do (there are 24,347 of them - that's quite enough I think). They won't be reset at the end of each month, they'll keep going until they reach the sea I guess, or at least form tide marks around playing areas. And to spice things up, and with inflation being what it is, they now generate 1000 credits per mile for owner and runner, rather than the puny 25 per mile that they used to. Game very much on
