I'm getting decent hauls from races by picking flowers, planting my own and then having them picked - only works if it's a race outside anyone's circle though!

For someone who hates bugs so much you'll really love it PH. Bugs cost 200 points to buy and can gain you up to 12 points 4 times a day. The secret is to place them where they will get enough points to earn you back the 200 points over the course of the remaining month without them being moved and squished before this is possible. If you have inactive players near you, or players who never seem to clear bugs then these are good places although you don't know where their home point is - that part of the game is a bit hit and miss based on where the coins/bugs/goreillas etc appear. Of course if there are areas where lots of fetchies overlap and you can find somewhere where your bug will remain undetected then so much the better...

Over recent holidays I found a sunny seaside town with two fetchies who never seem to run - I've collected tens of thousands of points every summer and Christmas I go there, and bugs and garmangles etc never seemed to disappear. 2 bugs currently collecting 42 points every six hours. Might go and drop off a couple more now...

Just as a point of interest PH - and at the risk of looking as if I have nothing better to do with my life - if you were to find a place where you could position a bug between a number of fetchies so that it was gaining 20 points four times a day, and every time you had gained 200 credits from that bug you were to purchase another bug and put it in exactly the same place and you were to do this at the start of each day for a whole month by the end of the month your original 200 credit investiment would be worth 953,040 credits and you would have placed 11,913 bugs.
Probably wouldn't have time to do much running - but if you were to start with a number of bugs rather than just one there would be no need to run and you could still top the leaderboard by the end of the month...
Just a thought.

Yes. But as penalties are collected at different times from different fetchies throughout the day you have to watch for a 6 hour cycle to see how much you are collecting. So if you have one bug positioned between 3 players you may get 3 different sets of penalties listed every 6 hours

PH - yes it does.
A usefull experiment for you may simply be to find an area outside your 'home' mile where there seem to be a good number of bugs and add one of your own in the middle of it. Several times per day, a record will appear in your account saying "plodding hippo gained xx points in penalties" - it doesn't say who you gained them from. In a city, I'd expect you to be earning from several people.
I'm not earning much - 30 points every four hours from three bugs - but it's enough to offset the penalties which rarely exceed that unless I leave it a few days to clear them.
