60,000+ for me today. 13 miles but less than 10 of them inside the magic circle

Went out to herd some bugs. Turned down a road where I knew 2 were lurking only to come face to face with a sign saying "Private Road". Being a total coward I turned round and left the bugs where they were.

Damn, my Garmin signal was out of kilter. My bug herding has completely failed. The route uploaded is all slightly off and so it doesn't take me outside the mile circle even though I did step outside.

westmoors, just delete the run and plot the route manually. Only snag is, you'll be charged double rent.

I got my fifth garmin today and cleared all the bugs. There's a definite shortage of coins around here. On Saturday I got around 10k points/mile but the rest of the month has seen me get about half that. There are just two accessible patches left, strangely enough, where the steepest hills are.
BTW there's no need for a pedestrian to stop at a "Private Road" sign. It just means if you trip up, you sue the residents, not the council. I think.

The last time I passed a private sign a ruddy great big Alsatian encouraged me to turn around and go back the way I came.

ChrisHB, you're thinking of an unadopted road - it's still a public right of way but owned and maintained by residents rather than a local authority. Your drive is a "Private Road".

New town, new bunch of very strange looks as I run up and down cul de sacs. Ran past one woman 4 times today she must have thought I was completely mad. Actually maybe she is right.

Plotted the route manually. Moved the little bugs and collected a couple of extra coins which makes up for the rent I paid when I uploaded from my Garmin. I had planned the route to miss the traffic lights but the dodgy GPS signal took me right through one!
