Hmm, training log stalking reveals a possible culprit (I don't really know him but swop conquercise zones in that sort of area with him and he logged 8 miles this morning so must have been out and about at the right time). If you see this keefley and it was you sorry I didn't say hello!

I think it depends how active your neighbours are, E75. Most of mine don't seem to run in certain areas so if I plan my route carefully I can squish loads of bugs and pick up loads of points. On the other hand though it does mean if I don't clear up the areas no one else runs in the penalties get v. high.

Swings and roundabouts!

:-)

Think my lone neighbour may have started paying a bit more attention and thinking tactically - he's still not clearing any of the shared bugs (leaving me to do it) but twice in the past week I've chosen my route specifically to claim some traffic lights only to return and find myself paying rent to him and all the nearby coins gone - Git ;)

I think more people are starting to get it round me too. I was the only bug shifter despite having about 5 people within my mile circle but yesterday I didn't go out and quite a few got moved out - from different sides of my cirlce so it might have been 2 people

I have a neighbour 2 miles away.

My garmangles are often situated on some popular long-running routes, whereas hers are invariably somewhere in the Humber Estuary.

Mine often disappear.

Coincidence? I think not.

I have a new tactic. Last week I cleared most of the coins around my house and they seem to be re-appearing very slowly. But I noticed that the suburbs nearby were showered in gold. So twice this week I've hopped on a bus and run in someone else's neigbourhood. My average points/km has leapt from 2,000pt/km to 15,000pt/km (~24,000pt/mile). My 25km run this morning netted me about 350,000 points. Not too shabby.

BTW, if you live in Teddington, Fulwell, Hampton or Twickenham, thanks for registering and not playing.

A lot of my neighbours seem to be registered but only really running their "normal" routes along the obvious roads rather than seeking out bugs and coin drifts (although there are some who seem to be putting a bit more effort into route planning judging by their scores). I run in a couple of different places, all of which have other runners so I made my home point the one where bug penalties were likely to be lowest (it's also the easiest for me to clear bugs from) but run in the others too, and if I go exploring side roads there tend to be decent coin drifts waiting for me.

4.19 miles today generated about 20,000 pts it was certainly earned many uphills
