I think something is going wrong with the calculations
I have roughly 40 bugs in my mile after today's clearances.
If bugs are worth up to 12 points in penalties each day, then that's 3 points per penalty allocation (4 a day).
If all the bugs were on my doorstep, that should be 3x40 = 120 points
Most of them are further away but taking 1/2 mile as an average, that should be 1.5x40 = 60 points.
So how come I got 189 penalty points at 6pm today?
Are the bugs sitting in piles so it looks like one bug from above but there's actually several in the same place?
At least I'm only getting one set of penalty charges each six hours though!

No double penalties here.
I got almost 60,000 points from a 15 miler! That's almost a 50% increase in points just from one run. And saw a Fetchie when I was about a mile and a half from home: that and the rain which had set in had me running almost my fastest mile at the end to get in and upload the run

Duchess I think it is 12 points four times a day, so a max bug penalty of 48 points per day. Taking your average of 0.5 miles away is a penalty of 6 points per bug four times a day. 40 bugs x 6 points = 240 points (four times in the day). Looks like you got away lightly with only 189 points deducted

Only single penalties for me but something must be up. Got my 5th Garmangle yesterday and today I have not one but two! Spotted 3 new bugs so far so I'm sure there must be a 4th one hiding too.
