I know what you mean Mrs J. I've been trying to convince myself I can bug bust tomorrow night whilst doing speedwork .................. I really ought to go to the club session

I've been having similar thoughts over the last few days. I think the game is great and I've discovered bits and pieces in the neighbourhood that I never knew existed. But lately I find myself worrying about chasing bugs and getting the higher value coins before anyone else rather then concentrating on my training and goals.

I think I'll stay registered but put it on the back burner for the time being.

I'm trying to work out the balance for marathon training versus fetchpointing........

I quite like the bug busting / coin collecting for easy / recovery / buggy runs as it stops me getting too much into a zone an speeding up :)

Today I was good and actually did what I had in my plan with a slightly longer warm up/down to bug bust but I was already considering upping those to 3 miles so in some ways it did me good...... The coiny flowers will help me sooo much more tho so am hanging on hoping they're no too far off :)

I'm sure the game isn't suitable for encouraging purposeful training, but it is good for getting us out at all, and in my case, up hills I'd usually shun.

It is great for encouraging us to get out and run Chris, I think it's fun too :) Thing is I only target one or two marathons a year and I can see myself getting sidetracked instead of concentrating on good training sessions, I may well register again after VLM :)

I thought I'd found a new bug on my map but it's just a baby spider on my laptop screen :-/

D'oh - after all that I forgot to add on the extra bit to the end of my commute! Bugs will need to wait until Wednesday now...

Matches up quite well with plotting routes for long funs for me. Do my best not to think about bugs or coins when it's speedwork day :)
