10km for me, and no points cos I retreated to the treadmill. Can't even stay standing outdoors in this crazy wind!

That's tough Baronnessbl. That must be lowest haul for any run, let alone 13 miles :-(

Town v country debate:

My normal "home" is in the middle of a city but I swapped it to my parents over Christmas as I was there for 4/5 days. On the plus side, my bug penalty dropped to 13 points a time (there were no Fetchies in the area so only "my" allocation counting) but coins almost impossible to collect. It's a very different game out there in the fields!

I live in a small town on what you could call the rurban fringe. So loads of my markers would involve running or cycling up and down the streets, whilst others are out in the fields. I've been out in the fields and tbh, I'm not so keen. A mile out in the country seems a lot further away than a mile on road. (At least we can do this in Scotland).

As there are quite a lot of routes out of town, I have left quite a few bug fields outside my circle. Though not quite enough.

Where I live lots if points are in fields & woods not easy to get too but I still have loads of bugs I can't get rid if neither & they're costing me over 1000points/day :( but trip to pub tonight got me 900 points so maybe I just need to drink more ;)

That's a lot of points lost to bugs GG - I usually report the inaccessible ones and they reappear somewhere else, sometimes in accessible places :-) At least you have a chance of running the little bugs out of town, so to speak.

I think I may have played this slightly wrong so far.

Each day that I run, I look at where the bugs are and plan my run around getting them out of my inner ring. However, in hindsight, I currently have my highest ever number of bugs (6). They scored 39 penalty points just now. That means just 156 penalty points a day which could be gathered in just a couple of decent coins.

I think in future, whilst I will get rid of them if they are en-route, I won't be going out of my way to get them as I've missed out on decent clumps of coins before to get rid of a bug.
