I got my 10k badge and bugpocalypse badge and have since left my bugs to multiply for a few days. It feels good!
I was never going to get much further than 10k-ish as I vary my routes constantly so can't really create flower beds so will just squish a couple of times a week for now and see where I level out.

ftrobbie, to assault your routes required a 13 mile run for me, so i won't be doing it very often. There are very few alternative sources for me in Beeston as there are several registered players, so most of my points have to come from bugs or gems in unusual places.

I know, I was impressed and I know you don't come this way often given that they had started to mature (42days). I have been surprised that they have been left alone by others for so long. Have fun and feel free to plunder the flower beds. Keep enjoying your running. I've only been in Beeston (proper) once to get a bearing from the bike shop on Chilwell Road, for much the same reason. I sometimes skim the University because I've been forced that way to pick up the bug otherewise I tend to stay North of the University. Stay safe

Gooner - the flowers I plant are normally on the golf courses I play on. Whether or not I manage to water them is literally hit and miss as I can't guarantee to use the same parts of the course each time I play

I failed to clear yesterday's bug but today's was thankfully near enough for me to do them both in one run (more like a slow shuffle in the heat, even before 7).
Found myself wishing that bugs were more like flowers, that if you infect one and then keep visiting it you get a decent number of points. In denser areas it's much more difficult to "cultivate" an area of flowers (and more dangerous and unpleasant to use cycling as a way of watering them if they're on a busy urban road) but there are loads of nests of others' bugs to keep visiting.
