However, Fetch has fairly recently changed things so that anyone running through a spot previously marked as inaccessible makes it available again, so there's no harm. Mind you, if there are other players in the area, they may undo your reports by running through those spots themselves

Consensus among those who commented at the time - including Fetch himself - was that it's perfectly reasonable to mark as inaccessible somewhere you don't feel safe going in the current climate - even if that somewhere is a place you'd normally be happy to go. Once 'all this is over' you can make those areas accessible again simply by running through them.
